Note: This article is for only users who want to clear a specific URL from Varnish cache only. Direction for all other use cases should be found elsewhere.
Purging a specific URL from Varnish Cache
Sign in to Aperture and navigate to your environment's overview page.
Once signed into Aperture, you will need to navigate to the Clear Cache page by selecting the Clear Cache link in the left-hand navigation bar. See the image below for details.
On the Clear Cache page, you should verify the following:
- That you are on the Clear Cache page for the correct application and environment.
- That you are clearing the Varnish's cache and not another proxy's.
After you have verified the correct application, environment, and proxy have been selected you can now move forward with specifying the URL you want to clear from the cache. The default option, Purge particular urls, should already be selected and instructions on how to specify the URL you want to purge should be visible. Follow the instructions on the screen and then select Purge URL. See the image below for details.
Note: You have now purged Varnish cache of all assets located at the URL you specified and you should see a green checkmark and a message flash across the top of the screen communicating that the action has been performed.
